The pan-side steamed bread is named from its production process. First grind the new japonica rice into milk, place on the side of a large pan with boiling water, and the bread is formed with a spoon pouring into strips along the edge of the pot.

The steamed bread is white in color, and the bread slices are in irregular blocks and with soup, taste soft but not greasy, and rich in fragrance of rice. The steamed bread soup is sweet and delicious, local residents like to have a bowl of soup at three or four o'clock in the afternoon, to ease the tiredness after work. The main ingredients are rice flour, garlic, meat, pickled cabbage, squid, and oil, salt, and sauce and vinegar.
Food Tips: The pan-side steamed breads are cheap and good, and more easily found in the public market, generally sold in the morning and evening. The Zhonghe ancient town is the place where the selling points for pan-side steamed breads are most centralized.
